Fasting woman has intercourse during Ramaḍān and her menses begins
Question
A husband and wife have intercourse during Ramaḍān intentionally during the day. I understand qaḍāʾ and kaffārah is necessary. Later in the day before sunset, the woman enters into the state of menses. Does this have any effect on the ruling?

Answer
Qaḍāʾ and kaffārah is necessary on the husband. As the wife has entered the state of menstruation before sunset, there is no kaffārah on her, she only has to do qaḍāʾ. Both should repent to Allah Almighty.
جاء في الأصل للإمام محمد بن الحسن (٢/٢٠٦): قلت: أرأيت رجلا جامع امرأته في شهر رمضان نهارا ثم حاضت في ذلك اليوم؟ قال: فعليها قضاء ذلك اليوم ولا كفارة عليها وعلى زوجها قضاء ذلك اليوم والكفارة. قلت: فلم وضعت عن المرأة الكفارة؟ قال: لأنها حاضت في ذلك اليوم، انتهى. وقال ابن قدامة في المغني (٣/١٣٩): وإذا جامع في أول النهار ثم مرض أو جن، أو كانت امرأة فحاضت أو نفست في أثناء النهار، لم تسقط الكفارة. وبه قال مالك والليث وابن الماجشون وإسحاق. وقال أصحاب الرأي: لا كفارة عليهم. وللشافعي قولان كالمذهبين، انتهى۔

Is it Sunnah for a woman exiting her menses to use salt in bath water?
