Do young girls stand in front of or behind women in congregational Ṣalāh?
Question
I know that the order of Ṣufūf is men, children and then women. My question is that if there are non-Bālig young girls in the congregation, should they stand in front of the women or behind the women?

Answer
The young non-Bālig girls will stand behind the women.
قال الكاساني في البدائع (١/١٥٩): ولو اجتمع الرجال والنساء والصبيان والخناثى والصبيات المراهقات فأرادوا أن يصطفوا للجماعة، يقوم الرجال صفا مما يلي الإمام، ثم الصبيان بعدهم، ثم الخناثى، ثم الإناث، ثم الصبيات المراهقات، انتهى. ونحوه في الهندية (١/٨٩) نقلا عن شرح الطحاوي، وكذا في البناية (٢/٣٤٥) نقلا عن المحيط والإسبيجابي۔
