Change of residence after marriage and Qaṣr
Question
I got married and moved from London to Bolton. Do I perform Qaṣr Ṣalāh when I travel to London?

Answer
If you have permanently moved your residence from London to Bolton, you will perform Qaṣr Ṣalāh in London unless you intend to reside there for 15 days or more.
قال السرخسي في المبسوط (١/٢٥٢): وطن قرار ويسمى الوطن الأصلي وهو أنه إذا نشأ ببلدة أو تأهل بها أو توطن بها. قال: لا ينقضه إلا وطن أصلي مثله. وراجع رد المحتار (٢/١٣١)۔
