Naming Masjid after Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Question
Can a masjid be named after the Prophet ﷺ, for example, Masjid Sayyidunā Muḥammad ﷺ? A Masjid in Leicester is named Masjid Muhammad.

Answer
It is permissible to name a Masjid, Masjid Muhammad. It is however advised not to name the Masjid, Masjid Nabawī or Masjid al-Rasūl ﷺ to avoid confusion with the Masjid Nabawī in the blessed city of Madinah, which has specific virtues and rulings attached to it.
عن أبي هريرة رفعه: لا تشد الرحال إلا إلى ثلاثة مساجد: المسجد الحرام، ومسجد الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، ومسجد الأقصى، رواه البخاري (١١٨٩)۔
