Question

My mother has passed away. She has six daughters, no sons. She has one full brother and two full sisters. Do the brother and sisters of my mother inherit?

Answer

Assuming the deceased mother has no living parents or husband, her inheritance will be distributed as follows:

• Each of the six daughters: 1/9^th (11.11%)
• Brother: 1/6^th (16.67%)
• Each of the two sisters: 1/12^th (8.34%)
