ʿUmrah assuming menses had finished

Question

Someone thought that they had finished their period and thereafter performed ʿUmrah and cut their hair, then they saw brown discharge within the normal habit days, and after the bleeding stopped, they repeated the Ṭawāf and Saʿy. Is this valid and is there any penalty for cutting the hair and using scented soap?

Answer

If the Ṭawāf and Saʿy were repeated in the state of purity, then the ʿUmrah is complete and there is no penalty.

قال محمد في الجامع الصغير (ص ١٦١): رجل طاف لعمرته وسعى على غير وضوء وحل وهو بمكة فإنه يعيد الطواف والسعي ولا شيء عليه، انتهى. قال المرغيناني في الهداية (١/١٦٣): أما إعادة الطواف فلتمكن النقص فيه بسبب الحدث. وأما السعي فلأنه تبع للطواف. وإذا أعادهما لا شيء عليه لارتفاع النقصان، انتهى. وقال العيني في البناية (٤/٣٦١): (وحل) أي حلق أو قصر، انتهى۔
