بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

Answer

  1. Donating blood is permissible if there is a need and there is a shortage. Donating blood does not cause material harm to the donor and could potentially save lives.
  2. Receiving blood is permissible if there is a need.
  3. Scholars have mixed views regarding donating an organ whilst the donor is alive. The preferred view is that the ruling depends on the specific circumstance of each case. There are circumstances in which an organ can be donated to a specific person in need. Each case, however, will be examined by a religious expert to determine whether it is permissible.
  4. Scholars have mixed views regarding receiving an organ. The preferred view is the same as number 3; there are circumstances in which it is permissible to receive an organ based on need.
  5. Scholars have mixed views regarding making a bequest for donating organs after death. Our position is to avoid this.
