Workplace Medical Insurance
Question
If your workplace allows you to sign up for private healthcare (medical insurance) as an added benefit, then would it be permissible to join?

Answer
If the private healthcare cover is provided for free or in lieu of a contribution that reduces the tax burden, it is permissible to benefit from this. If employees are required to a contribute and there are no tax benefits, this is also excused based on need.
